Ross returns to Afghanistan in the summer of 2008, to the recently captured town of Musa Qaleh. This small yet significant town is the centre of some of the fiercest fighting in the conflict. The worst battles take place in the densely vegetated and claustrophobic terrain of the green zone. He joins 5 Scots and 1 Royal Irish on four operations as they defend the town from Taliban attack.
