Rose Linden (Sarah Lancashire) is a lead caseworker with the Criminal Justice Review Agency, an organization that investigates possible miscarriages of justice. She is brilliant and dedicated, but her maverick attitude often both inspires and frustrates her CJRA partner, the very non-confrontational Maloney (Phil Davis). What the two do have in common, however, is a dedication to rooting out truth.
