The legend of ancient British queen Boudicca (more popularly known as Boadicea) was vividly reenacted in this six-episode British drama series. Sian Philips starred as the fearless Boudicca, who with a loyal band of followers (200,000 or thereabouts, according to the historian Tacitus) valiantly fended off the island's Roman conquerors during the Iceni Rebellion of 60 A.D.
