A sitcom following the daily goings-on at the fictional Love's Diner opens with owner Hattie Mae Love encouraging her grandson, Danny, to get a job and move out of her house. Meanwhile, Hattie's daughter, Linda, decides to move back home with her mom after learning that her husband has been cheating on her.
